Glacier View Petition As a result of information delivered at the Adventist Forum meeting held in Sydney last October acknowledging the passage of twenty five years since the Glacier View Conference, one member of the audience came away so exercised by what he heard, he translated his concerns into a petition to the church leadership. In the Internet-based petition, intended for world-wide circulation, he has summarised the specific elements of the proceedings deserving of attention, and has formulated three conclusions that warrant an urgent response by the church headquarters on behalf of participating signatories. “Why,” he asks in the introduction to the petition, “after the passage of twenty-five years would one want to resurrect the events of that time and not allow things to continue as they are? Because we as members,” he states, “seek that no cloud be upon the integrity of our leaders, the veracity of the truth we espouse, or the equity of the church’s actions with regard to its members and valued scholars.”
